Compare the same destination and group

Use the exact arrival airport, terminal if known, and destination address. Count all adults and children and enter the luggage you intend to carry. A low per-person price is not directly comparable with a price for the whole vehicle.

Check whether the journey is door-to-door or finishes at a stop. Public transport may suit a city-centre stay; a shared shuttle may involve other stops; a private transfer may give your group a dedicated vehicle. Read what each specific offer includes.

Calculate the total party price

Multiply per-person fares by the number of travellers. Add any clearly stated fees for your luggage, arrival time, route or required equipment. Compare the result with whole-vehicle quotes for a suitable capacity.

If the transfer only reaches a station or central stop, include the time and cost of the remaining journey. A lower fare can be less convenient with heavy bags or an arrival late at night.

Make the pickup arrangements clear

• Exact meeting point and how to identify the driver
• Flight number and the time the booking uses
• Included waiting time and the start of that period
• What to do if the flight is delayed
• A working contact route if you cannot find the vehicle

Do not assume all providers track flights or wait for the same period. Check what happens if immigration, baggage collection or a terminal change takes longer than expected.

Check flexibility and the return journey

Read the cancellation and change deadlines, no-show conditions and any stated fees before confirming. Check capacity and whether requested equipment has actually been accepted by the provider.

For the return trip, allow time for the route and your airline’s airport-arrival guidance. Confirm the collection address and save your provider’s booking reference and contact details. For flight comparisons, also include transfer costs in the total journey price.
